Tutorial - The City Hall

The City Hall is your main building in your Cashtowns town.The only purpose of this building is to produce unskilled workers (citizens if you will). But just because it only has one purpose doesn't mean that it is not important. In fact it's one of the most important buildings in the game and should not be neglected.

Without those new unskilled workers your town will never grow more then a couple of levels. You need new citizens to come in regularly because the old ones will die (not the initial ones).

When should I upgrade?
I think you should first focus on the first steps of cashtowns but once you've done that you should start focusing on upgrading the City Hall because you will need more workers soon. So my tip would be to upgrade the City Hall to level 2 after you have built the Market, the School and the Police Station. Maybe after the Firestation as well.

But there is a problem: Your police station influence does not reach the City Hall (if you have followed my tutorial on the police station) and therefore you cannot upgrade it. But here's a tip: Build a dummy-police station next to the City Hall. Build it like in the picture to the north-east of the City Hall. Now you can upgrade the City Hall to level 2!

• Level 1: 1 unskilled worker / 24h - Cost: 10 food
• Level 2: 2 unskilled worker / 24h - Cost: 20 food
• Level 3: 3 unskilled worker / 24h - Cost: 30 food
• Level 4: 4 unskilled worker / 24h - Cost: 40 food
• Level 5: 5 unskilled worker / 24h - Cost: 50 food

Upgrade costs and influence required:

• Level 1: You can't build more City Halls
• Level 2: 50 wood, 25 stone + influence of a police station
• Level 3: 75 wood, 50 stone, 15 iron + influence of a police station and a firehall
• Level 4: 100 wood, 75 stone, 25 iron + influence area of a police station a firehall and a hospital
• Level 5: 125 wood, 100 stone, 50 iron, 25 clay + influence of a police station a firehall , a hospital and a restaurant
